Massac County Game Fields - Metropolis Soccer Complex
ADDRESS FOR NAVIGATION SYSTEMS:
2120 Metropolis Street, Metropolis, IL 62960
From I-57 to I-24 (Coming from Illinois)
Exit I-24 at Exit 27 (New Columbia/Big Bay). Turn right at top of the ramp at the stop
sign. Go approximately 100 yards to the next stop sign and turn left. Stay on that road
approximately 4 miles to the next stop sign and turn right. Go approximately 5 miles and
turn left onto Korte Road at the green sign that says Massac County High School
(Weaver Creek Baptist Church will be on the left side of the road at the turn). Continue
on this road to the stop sign (the school is on the right). Turn right at the stop sign onto
Old Marion Road. Go approximately ½ mile and turn right at the intersection. Go to the
stop sign and turn left onto Metropolis Street (First Baptist Church is off to the right at
the stop sign). Go approximately ½ mile. The field is on the left.
From I-24 (Coming from Kentucky)
Exit I-24 at exit 37 (Metropolis/Brookport). Turn left at the top of the ramp at the stop
light. Go to the second stop light and turn right (Huddle House/Quiznos are off to the
right). Go approximately ½ mile to the stop sign and turn left onto Gurley Rd. Go to the
third stop sign and turn left onto Metropolis Street (First Baptist Church is off to the right
at the stop sign). Go approximately ½ mile. The field is on the left.
From Rte. 145 S (Coming from Harrisburg area)
After you enter Massac County, go approximately 4 miles and make a right onto Country
Club Road (Powers Church is on the left at the turn). Go approximately 2 miles and turn
left onto Old Marion Rd. Go approximately 1 mile (you will go past the high school) and
turn right at at the intersection. Go to the stop sign and turn left onto Metropolis Street
(First Baptist Church is off to the right at the stop sign). Go approximately ½ mile. The
field is on the left.
Metropolis Civitan Soccer Practice Fields (no longer game fields!)
From I-24 Metropolis exit, head west on Hwy 45 towards Metropolis. Stay on Hwy 45/5th Street and drive about 2.5 miles into Metropolis. Pass Big John's Grocery on the left and a couple of blocks down will be the Civitan Soccer Fields, which is also on the left directly off of 5th street/Hwy 45.
Anna
(NEW High School Fields Location) Union County Recreational Complex: Coming into Anna on IL-146 from Vienna, turn left on ROUTE 51 (heading south), go 8/10 of a mile & take a right on BRADY MILL ROAD. You'll then go about 1/4 mile and the Union Co Recreational Complex is on the left. Note: Despite the name, this is where the High School games are now played.
(OLD High School Fields Location) Transcraft field Rte 51 south to Anna turn right at stop light with Pizza Hut on the corner. Turn left just before McDonalds and the a right turn with in about 150 ft on to Transcraft Dr go all the way down to the end of the road. Cross the intersecting road and go straight ahead in to the parking lot with all of the trailers in it. Field is on the left hidden behind the trailers.
(OLD High School Fields Location) Jonesboro Middle School - usually used for the girls season: Go thru Anna to the stop sign, turn left go past the AJ high school, then thru the Jonesboro square coming out on the exact opposite side you came in continue until you see Casey’s on your left. Turn left just before Casey’s the grade school is ¼ mile on the right.
Carbondale
From Marion take route 13 west to Carbondale, at the first light past the mall turn left on to Lewis lane go south thru the stop light and the stop sign. Matches are played at the Superblock which is about ½ mile on the left.
Marion
Marion Recreational Soccer Complex : Take I-24 which then merges into I-57. Take I-57 Marion Exit 54A (13 East towards Harrisburg). Drive EAST all the way through Marion, past Route 37 and past Triple E Bar-B-Q. Staying east-bound, on your right you soon will see the FS (farm bureau) as you conitnue to go out of town. Keep going about a 1/4 mile past Farm Bureau which you'll see a series of storage facilities on this right-hand side. Just past the storage facilities turn right on to Old 13 (MAIN ST) to go back in towards town. Once turning on Old 13 (Main St), go about a 1/2 mile & turn left on Valentine Road. The soccer complex is behind a small subdivision when viewed from Old 13 (Main St). Note: Be CAREFUL, it is easy to drive past Valentine Road & the complex since there is no sign off of Main Street. However, if you slow down you can see the large complex behind the houses.
Marion High School Field…where all HS soccer games are now played...On route 13 go south at Carbon Street (Wendy’s is on the corner) approximately 2 ½ miles as the road comes to an end the high school is on your left. At the final stop sign go south on the narrow road in front of you to the soccer fields. There are also baseball fields and tennis courts at this location.
Harrisburg
Harrisburg Middle School Address: 312 Bulldog Boulevard, Harrisburg, IL
All HS games are played at the Middle School fields. If you go up 145 from Metropolis, you "t" into 45 as you approach H'burg. Take a left going south away from Harrisburg on 45. On route 45 a couple of miles, there will be right and left turn lanes in the middle of no where, turn right and the Middle School is a short distance away.
Bill Rice Memorial Soccer Complex Address: 920 West Popular Street, Harrisburg, IL
All 5th-6th grade and under games are played at the Bill Rice Memorial Soccer Complex.
Mt Vernon
Take I57 north to exit 95 turn right go to 42nd street turn right go south until it ends. Turn left go about ½ mile and turn right you can see the baseball and soccer fields on your right before you turn.
Centralia
From the intersection of Interstate 64 and route 51 go north on route 51 approximately 7 miles to the southern border of Centralia. On the right you will see Dave’s Chicken Ranch just past that you turn right on to Walnut Hill Rd. Go about three blocks to Rotary Park, first thing you will see is a baseball field turn left just before the field then right in to the park.
Salem
Take I 57 north to the Salem exit turn left go in to town turn left on Illinois ave and then a second left on Boone st. All games are played on the church property.
Mt Carmel
Take I 57 north to I 64 east exit at route 1 (mile marker 130) go north on route one to Mt Carmel (19 miles). As you come in to town turn left on Oak Street go about 2 ½ miles. Soccer matches are played at Wabash Valley Junior College. Field is on the left and is shielded by a grove of trees but when you get close you can see the lights for the field.
McCracken County (KY) Youth Soccer Fields
Going south on I-24 across the Ohio River, best to go to the KY Oaks Mall exit (Exit 4). Turn left off exit ramp heading east and go to stoplight at McDonalds (about 1/3 mile), turn left down Coleman Road going past McDonalds and heading straight north, soccer complex entrance is on the right about a mile down the road.
Crittenden County (KY) Soccer Fields
Directions to Crittenden Co (KY) Soccer Fields: Marion KY Upper Park Drive. Once you pull into the road you will see baseball fields on your left- you need to keep driving to the back of the park & you will see the soccer fields on your right.
