2012 Patriots Youth Soccer Camp

The soccer camp is conducted by the HS Soccer Patriot Coaches (Coach Painter & Coach Frazier) along with help from current or former MCHS soccer players.  This camp acts as a fundraiser back to the HS Soccer Booster clubs that directly benefits these soccer programs.  The camp is open for any youth from the ages of K-8th Grade for the 2012-13 School Year.

 

The dates for the 2012 Patriots Youth Soccer Camp will be:

           Monday July 9, Tuesday July 10, and Thursday July 12

There are two different times each evening depending upon what age your child is.  Times are:

                  IF K thru 2nd Grade then your session will be: 6pm to 7pm.

                  IF 3rd thru 8th Grade then your session will be: 7pm to 8:30pm.

Location will be the Civitan Soccer Fields in Metropolis, IL.

Cost: $30 if registered before July 2, $35 if after this date.

 

How to Register:  Fill out the register form and mail to the address given on the form.  You can download and print the register form:

 

All campers receive a free T-shirt and a short awards program will be conducted at the end of the camp.

MYSL ACHIEVES RECORD REGISTRATIONS IN ONLY 2ND SEASON!

Massac Youth Soccer League (MYSL) shattered the previously highest number of Massac/Metropolis players for a season by almost 20% for the spring 2012.  MYSL has 163 players registered this spring placed on 18 teams ranging in ages from Under-4s to Under-16s.  Congratulations!

MYSL Game Cancellations Procedures:

For game cancellation decisions, it is up to the home-field league to make such a decision.  

 

This means that for MYSL teams playing in Paducah that the McCracken Co Youth Soccer League makes the decision.  You can get possible latest information concerning game cancellations from the McCracken website: www.mccrackensoccer.com .

For games in Metropolis, MYSL makes the decision and the latest info can be seen on this website.

 

Remember unless lightning or unsafe field conditions are involved, soccer games usually proceed. 

For practices, it is up to the each individual coach (not the league) to decision on canceling a practice.

Meetings are open to the general public and all are encouraged to attend!

Are you interested in becoming a soccer referee?

Interested in getting a full understanding of the rules?  Interested in getting more involved with the game of soccer?  Interested in having fun (yes, being a referee is fun!) and having a rewarding experience?  Interested in making a few bucks on the side?  If so....soccer refereeing may be for you!

For anyone who may be interested in becoming a certified referee, the courses are typically conducted in Janauary-March locally each year.  Click on "Referee" on the side menu for more information and news concerning refereeing.
